Results: Race Round Up: 18-19 March 2017

What a weekend of racing Garscube Harriers have had.  Saturday saw our juniors in action at the Scottish National Young Athlete Road Championships with 14 athletes competing at this high profile event.   Elliot Duff  secured individual BRONZE medal in the U15 Boys race and a team SILVER with his team mates, Jack Trainer and Murphy Hand.   In sunnier climes, Aileen Wilson was FIRST F35 at Phuket 5 Mile International Run.  On Sunday, whilst our beginners raced their very first 5k, our more experienced members were battling headwinds and hills at the Alloa and Loch Katrine Half Marathons.  Once again, on form Katie White stole the show with a fantastic WIN against stiff competition at Alloa.  Her result takes her to 3rd Female in the Scottish Half Marathon Rankings this year.

Stroke Association Resolution Run 5k (19/03/17)

Some of our beginners group ticked off their new year’s resolution by completing the Stroke Associations’s 5k Resolution Run.   Full results are not currently available, but we are delighted that they were all still smiling at the end!  We are very proud of how far they’ve come in such a short time.
