RESULTS: Race Round Up – Summer League Event #1 – Tom Scott 10M & Manchester Marathon, 2nd April 2017

The weekend’s racing kicked off on Friday when Martha Lovatt was 2nd F at this month’s 3k on the Green in  12:30.  On Sunday, it was the Tom Scott 10M Road Race which saw the West District Champs and the Scottish National Champs over the distance…and the start of our own Summer League (points mean prizes)!  We had 15 Harriers tow the start line in the spring sunshine at Strathclyde Park.  Once again, Katie White was on fine form, finishing 1st female in a PB of 58:20 to take the Championship title.  Katie’s training for the London Marathon is certainly paying dividends.  Joined by our president, Jill O’Neil and Debbie Martin-Consani the ladies also took 3rd Team prize.  First home for the men, was David Lindsay in a PB-equalling time of 56:11.    Meanwhile, Spring marathon season kicked off with Manchester Marathon where we had four runners competing, including Laura Gray who was running her debut for this distance!
